Fasting two days a week with juice!
To juica (thus making their own juice) has become a major trend and it’s for many reasons . Juice goes super fast, juice is cheap , juice works for all the day’s goals and so clearly : juice is packed with goods ! Also, it is great low -calorie . Precisely why juice suits excellent to eat when you are fasting two days a week with the 5:2 diet. This green juice contains celery and broccoli which at first glance may seem weird. But calm, apple and lemon gives it a smooth, sweet taste and it becomes a smooth easy to drink juice.
Green juice to drink during your fasting two days a week:
1 celery stalk (20 g) – 2.6 kcal 1 small broccoli floret (20 g ) – 7 kcal 2 apples without skin (70 g) – 44 calories 2 lemon slices (10 g) – 4.1 kcal 1 kiwi (50 g) – 28 kcal 1 piece of ginger (10 g ) – 8kcal
= 47 kcal
Now run all the goodies through a juice extractor ( this year’s Christmas present in 2013, in Sweden ). Pour and let the fresh taste in to your mouth!
How to calculate calories in a juice:
It can be a little tricky . The flesh disappears if you use a juice extractor and thus change the calorie content , it becomes much denser water content and therefore becomes kcal content lower. Hard Drawn , one can say that 50% of the vegetable / fruit comes out in the form of juice and the rest is waste. In this recipe , I have therefore halved the calorie content on the actual juice from the origin of the ingredients. The result is thus not exactly but except on a few calories.
